Posted January 5, 2017 I've had my Samsung EVO 250Gb SSD for a year and a week or so, and my total bytes written are 4.02 TB, i just wanted to know if that is normal and what's the limit? I have the OS, a few basic apps like Skype, some monitoring softwares and the ones that were recommended by my hardware (Corsair Link, that type of software) and just one game. Posted January 5, 2017 It is just a demonstration of the volume of data the SSD has moved around. So it represents disk life.
Posted January 5, 2017 The samsung evo ssd has an guarante for 70Terrabytes but a test of an very reliable german computer magazin shows that they can actually take more than one Petabyte. So I gues you are fine.
Posted January 5, 2017 I have 5TB on my system drive and it's a little over a year old now. The limit? Long after you've stopped caring about the drive. But seriously you have to write at least 200TB or so before you absolutely kill the drive. At the rate you're going, that gives you 50 years. I have a blog! And a list of guides I've posted
Posted January 5, 2017 That's about 11GB per day on average. Pretty normal, and far from anything to worry about. It'll last decades at that rate.
