Hello all. I'm new to the site and to building computers but I'm looking for any and all input/feedback/opinions on the current design I have planned.

Goals;

I'm looking for a rig that can handle game development using Unity 3D and Unreal Engine 4.

I'm also looking for a rig that can handle modern games on a 1440 monitor at an average 60fps with a respectable refresh rate.

Last Notes;

This build is estimated to have an average power requirement of 397W.

I want a design that will last in the modern market for a little while and can easily be upgraded in the future as my demands change. Although, I know CPs are kind of known for that anyway.

I know intel is releasing the i7 7700k very soon but reviews aren't spectacular and am skeptical, if anyone has more on that I would love to know.

Here's the link if the image is unreadable...

Thanks again for your time!

Solid build but i would recomend getting an office 365 subscription. You get office all future update and i think 1TB of could storage for like $60 a year.

Thanks for the input so far. At my current job there are possible employee programs where I can get operating systems and some software for free so penny pinching for those will hopefully not be an issue. My main concern is if the operating system will meet my requirements. what would the difference be with the 10 key?

That looks like a solid high end system to me.

The 7700K will only offer higher clockspeeds by an amount that will make little to no difference in most scenarios. Get it if the price is right, but don't expect anything more than a 6700K will do.

Buy windows legitimately if you have the money to do so. If you wanna roll the dice, go with a reseller  like kinguin, or reddit.

I still prefer "owning" software as opposed to "renting" it so a full copy of office gets my recommendation over a subscription.

Welcome to the forums and the wonderful world of pc building.

When in doubt, re-format.
