Hi everyone I am in the process of setting up a HTPC out of my old school laptop. I currently have Windows 10 Home 64 bit on it.

I was planning on streaming TV shows and movies on it from Plex which is running on my main PC. Is there an OS which has a specially designed UI for browsing Plex library etc as soon as I turn it on?

I would like one where I preferably don't have to do anything after turning it on to start browsing the Plex library and is not too hard to setup.

Thanks in advance

OpenELEC is based on a minimal Linux OS specifically designed to run just Kodi. Add PlexBMC plugin (may have to go with the latest beta, depending on your Plex server version) and you will be able to browse your Plex media server.

Alternatively, there is a Plex version of OpenELEC that starts the Plex Home Theatre (client side) instead called OpenPHT Embedded.
