I was looking for a laptop for a client,

Couldn't find anything remotely what i would call descent the represented value for money with the features i would recommend

So i looked into companies that build them to spec and found this http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/build-your-own-laptop/

So Opinions wanted

OEM's are charging over £1000 for the kind of spec i want, hence I'm looking into this

Looking to put something together for around £600-750

with a better that 1366x768 screen, prefer quad core, 8gb RAM, and a SSD 240gb maybe.

Most custom built laptops are a LOT more expensive than 1000 Euros. They're the guys throwing in dual 780Ms.

But no, it would be more expensive because you lose out on the economies of scale. Sorry, Econ major.

I'm not looking for a gaming laptop, this laptop just needs to have a goodish screen, a good CPU, 8GB of ram and an ssd.

build quality would probably be better from this company than OEMs as they are putting in quality parts, unlike OEM's who just put the cheapest crap they can buy in bulk at the time of manufacture.

also speakers aren't an issue this is a work laptop,
