iStar EX4M36-EXP + AS Rock X99 Extreme 11 (Why... just because I already have it)

The mother board has an on board

"" 8 x SAS-3 12.0 Gb/s/SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors by LSI SAS 3008 controller, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 1E and RAID 10), NCQ, Hot Plug and ASRock HDD Saver Technology ""

one of the linus buildups and also the istar spec say that the Back plane here can use one 8087 SAS to run all the drives.

MyMobo here has 8 SAS ports I wonder if I can use a reverse breakout cable on the on board SAS ports and hook them up to the 8087 back-plane (The On board SAS ports will be used for this and not the SATA ports)
