I'm looking into building a custom loop for a prodigy, I have a node 304 currently and the GPU fans are too loud for my taste (660ti signature 2) I'm looking for a solid loops that is optimized for silence, I'm not worried about temps.

I like this setup, is it optimal? linus says the res should be above the pump and in this one it is not http://rog.asus.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/IMG_6517.jpg

I may follow linus' build but his looks crowded and I don't like the res

Thoughts?

That set-up looks like it's the most you can get out of the progidy in terms of radiator space. You might be able to fit a 120mm extra at the back but you are going to have clearance issues.

so that step will work well? how hard is it to remove bubbles from a loop like that?

Also that's a 200m front rad, I want to run noctua NF-12 all around (LNA and undervolted)

Looks a bit too crowded for my taste.  ;)

Having the res below the pump is not a good idea. It means the pump has to work harder to draw the coolant up rather than the res feeding the coolant to the pump. I haven't tried anything like this before but I'd imagine it'll be difficult to bleed as well.

Even with my build (link in sig), it took a while to bleed because of the horizontal rad. Had to keep tilting case back and forth and I could still hear bubbles even after a week.
