Yes, the Strix 1070's fans turn off until about 60°C by default. You can adjust the fan curve in MSI Afterburner though.

Simple question, like most new graphics card does the asus strix 1070 turn its fans off at idle? Expect it to but doesnt say anything on the asus website that i can see anyway talking about this. Cheers

At idle yes, I'd keep your fans even at 10% at all times at least. They will be far from audible at that point.

Most top end GTX 1070's have this feature.
