I have a pc with:

i7 4790

Msi gtx 1070 gaming x

and it is working great with a high-power 500w 80+ psu which i have used for my past builds (like fx-6300+r9 270x or i5 4460+gtx 970).

I bought the psu on march 2013 and it is still working great.

It also has protections UVP, OVP, OPP, SCP.

My question is: should i buy a new one like super flower leadex or should i stick with my current psu until it breaks?

This is the psu:

I've never heard of High Power PSU'S so I'd get a new one made by either Corsair, EVGA or Cooler Master.

It's great that in their website, High Power lists its accomplishes, such as:

Quote

2010: "First" in industry to achieve 80Plus 1000 and 1200W "Platinum" certification

That seems very "convincing".

In all seriousness I'd be a little uncomfortable with such expensive parts combined with a somewhat shady PSU. Upgrading the PSU probably wouldn't hurt, unless your insurance is excellent.

If you do end up picking a new PSU, I'd advice against going just with the brand name. Things may have changed, but the last time I was in the market for a new PSU, many brands sold both good and bad products under their name (actual manufacturers under the brand name was a chaos). Be sure to do proper research on the actual product or you might as well roll with what you have now.

I found for 78 euros this psu:

Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W

Should i order it?

It's better than your current unit.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
