XPS 13 9343 screen error

hi guys

 

so I've got a dell XPS 9343 I'm repairing for someone but I'm a bit stuck,

the person dropped their laptop and mashed the screen  and back lid so I bought a brand new

OEM full top enclosure screen back lid webcam everything brand new however when

I plug it into the laptop it throws up the 8 beeps for LCD failure. my only confusion is

that the screen works just fine I did the d key on startup to run the colour checker no

dead pixels nothing anyone got any suggestions or should I just send the part back and ask for another?
