I am planning on building a new system relatively soon, however my current plan is too expensive. Any ideas on what to downgrade to reach a budget of 1200 dollars?

Here is the system build

It's actually a pretty decent build.  My recommendations would be the following to get your budget down but it won't quite get you down to 1200 bux.

  • Switch to Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2133 RAM instead for DDR4-3000
  • Forgo overclocking and get a non-K 6500 CPU
  • Skip the RGB keyboard and get that later.

Sure. :D

I would actually pick up a mechanical keyboard rather than the K55. There's some good one's out there like Sades K10 or EagleTec KG010
