Ultimate desk - standing desk?

I'm currently in the market after a new desk.

My dilemma is if i should buy a standing desk, or find something bigger/DIY. 
I've heard alot about the standing desks and people seem to like them. (LTT included)
If not a standing desk, what would your idea of the ultimative desk be? 
What should it feature? Is buying a standing desk a good idea?
