Mesh routers?

Are mesh routers worth it? (Well compared to my router a potato could do better) Also, what mesh router would you recommend for a 6-7k square foot house, it doesn't have to cover the whole place, but preferably it would. Would 3-4 Google wifis be good, or is there a better wifi router?

I would say that for your needs, Google WiFi is the best bet. It is the cheapest option and has pretty good coverage per unit. You would need 4 or 5, maybe even 6 of those though, although that is true of any mesh system.

Anything that has Ethernet, I've done it. You can't really wire a phone tho...

Instead of mesh routers that connect to each other, where only one of them might have a wired connection, use access points where each of them has its own wired uplink

Well its annoying to have to connect to 3 different wifis whenever you move around the house, although its not that difficult on my android my sister has an iphone and always complains (cause she has to go all the way into settings, it also has a worse connection)

From the review of the Google router I saw ( I dont remember which youtuber did it) it looked good. It seems that the Google router has a separate 5Ghz radio that handles router to router communication. Which is why it works better than a standard range extender. So I would say, just go with it.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yea I saw a review too, although it gets kinda expensive when you get to 5/6 of them.
