I have seen videos on youtube (ThirtyIR) claiming that 4 way sli is possible on titan xp's but he doesn't show how its done, is this just a load of BS?? (i know how nvidia killed the "enthusiast key") but if this is legit how did he do it??

thanks :)

Its just not Officaly Supported so dont expect to get much Future Use of new games out of it. But it can be foreced to Attempt to work very few games have ever in the past scaled good with 4 Cards even with it being supported. and in some instances FPS actually droping due to terrible scaling.

Overall its possible to force but in most games it will not and or be very bad scaling.  and IMO Nvidia not officaly supporting 3/4x SLI will only make the already bad scalling even worse in the future. Untill maybe this DX12 dream of Dual GPU usage becomes a thing

No official support for 4-way SLI that I know of

I think he made a video showing how to do it, but I'm not 100% sure.

if i recall correctly, some specific programs (some benchmarking utilities for example) can utilize 4 pascal GPUs in "SLI", but like we're used to, scaling is almost a joke at that point.

jayztwocents has a video somewhere in which he tries *just having 3 GPUs in one system* and even with one sitting idle things are problematic at best. the truth is that it's never been worth the money, it's never been a sane solution, and now nvidia screwed down on it saying "this is not worth our time, two GPUs is enough".

that said, you can still happily put 4, or even 8 titan XPs in your system (the latter with some funky setup, admittedly) and use them with a piece of software that can address them directly like specialized rendering software, or compute applications.
