Hi I went to play warthunder and as soon as I clicked play my PC turned off the only thing on was my mouse LEDs for some reason. So I done some trouble shooting and determined the cause to my my new PSU(Corsair CX 650m), I discovered this by using my old PSU(Silverstone 500w 80plus) when I plug in my PSU and flip the switch in the back there is a strong coil wine is there any way to fix this or do I have to go through RMA

Thanks

Coil whine is basically chance in most situations where some units will whine where others won't, you can try loading the PSU for a per-longed period to see if it helps lessen the amount but in most cases there isn't much that can be done. You can try to contact them to see if it is eligible for RMA.

The PC doesn't boot that's the actual issue there's just coil wine that's all it does

Oh if that is the case then yes for sure RMA the unit since it sounds like you already isolated the issue to be the new PSU. See if the Corsair unit will even turn on and provide power by using the paperclip method and check to see if there s 12V and such.
