RAID 0 only uses 1 HDD?

Go to solution Solved by Mfighter,

Okay i fixed my problem :)

I removed the RAID and made a new RAID with 32KB Stripe size.

Now the RAID is 410MB/s fast.

Hello,

I just bought another HDD and put it in my rig..

Everything is working, no errors.

I have 2 1TB HDD's.

1 Seagate ST1000DM010-2EP102

1 Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162

both are 7200RPM ( the 010 is the new one i bought )

I set up a RAID with Windows 10's "Storage Spaces"

It shows that it has 2TB of space in my Explorer, so it worked, right?

If i benchmark my RAID, it only gives me 200MB/s read speed, but that is only 50% of speed that it should be???

Why is it so slow? -> http://imgur.com/a/sTFFd (album)

I use AHCI in my bios because i use a SSD as a boot drive, is that the problem? (the AHCI mode?)

Thanks in advance..

Every thing looks good. 200mb/s is about right for raid 0 of 2 drives.

Id probably stay away from using them in raid as there isn't a noticable speed difference and it just hurts reliability.

But one drive alone is already 200MB/s fast, with RAID0, it should be faster, or not?

SHow those benchmakrs with one drive.

I don't think your single drive is that fast, i have yet to see a single hdd that fast.
