980ti help!!

So... 

I'm thinking to buy a GTX 980ti... but, i saw in the spanish website where i normally buy that the asus gtx 980ti ddr5 6gb was 789 €.... and the 980ti ddr5 6gb g1 gaming was 420€.... why this huge difference of prices??

You probably shouldn't buy an old gpu new.

Look used, or get a 1070 for about the same price.

out of the box the strix is the better card, the G1 is great for overclocking but isn't as good out of the box. to be honest there isn't much difference between the two apart from a few mhz and different coolers. The gtx 1070 is around the same price at the 980ti go for one of them instead

im coming from a 970 msi... and yes 1070 would be good option but i don't have those extra 50 € that it costs here... i know it sounds stupid, but i don't have them.

If the 980ti g1 gaming can run 1440p maxed out at 60+fps... that's alright for me...
