Laptop changeing Hard Disk

I want to change my hard drive in my laptop and i was wondering if i change it and do a clean install on the new hard drive, and use it for a couple of months if i ever had the need to put the old drive in would it boot from it or not ?

Download Acronis (30-day free trial) use this program or another if you prefer to create a full backup image on a spare drive, not the new one. Then insert the new drive into the machine, run the Acronis boot media and recover the image created earlier to the new drive.

You will then have the old drive that will function as a physical backup of your system image. Do not, however, try installing this old drive into another system as you can corrupt the bootloader or worse invalidate the Windows installation licence.
