I am looking to build my first ever PC and would like to know what you think of it. I found the components using PC Part Picker but am getting a better operating system. The link is https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wc9BFd. If you have any advice for the build or just any advice for building the PC it would be greatly appreciated. PS the PC will be for gaming programming school work and possible light streaming.

You don't need case fan. Case has plenty

Personal experience, I have that monitor and you should change it asap. It is bad. Really bad.

SSd looks kinda expensive. Get MX300 and you will be better

You don't need Windows 10 Pro

The rest is very well put, nice PSU, good GPU

Use magnetic led strips if you can find them too light a case up, fans are okay. Just LED strips are WAY BETTER I know from experience. Also, with those af and sp the brightness depends on the speed since they use voltage to control there speed. The new ML 120&140 are not affect by voltage since they are pwn and getting 12v all the time. Make sure you even have enough fan headers on your mobo/splitters to power them all.

A 1070 is better than your 1060

An overclockable 6600k which will be better than your i5 6500

Monitor is better and 144hz to make everything smoother

Better keyboard and mouse

Ok thanks but the reason i did a 2x16 ram was because it allowed for upgrade ability without have to sell or throw the old stuff out for a while
