What to replace?

So, I'm not big in the mobile department, but I recently had my phone ran over...
 -and I was wondering what exactly I need to replace.
 

The problem is that the screen is completely black. I took a look around for places that could repair it, but any place is ridiculously over-priced*. So I thought that if I couldn't find any local techies to do the job for me, and push came to shove, I would do it myself.

 

The touch input seems to be working (as I was able to power down my phone without pulling the battery), and the buttons are working.

As I am aware:

the digitizer is in charge of taking touch input, and sending it to the system
the polarized screen changes the way the light comes out so that it can be seen correctly
and the LCD screen is the thing that produces the light

 

I couldn't find any LCD screens to order, so I was hoping either I could be corrected in my understanding, or sent to the right place to purchase what I need.

 

*Seriously who would pay $124 to replace the back cover?
