Im a big survival game fan soo..

Rust - Only if you have 6+ friends to play with. The days of Solo rust being fun is long over

The Forest - Its really really fun at first but loses its fun factor faster than others in the genre
Miscreated - Better looking DayZ with base building and vehicles
Ark: SE - A ton of content but often buggy. Also the most popular survival game.
H1Z1 - It was fun when I played it but the survival mode has been long neglected for the King of the Kill version.

Conan Exiles - Coming soon survival game in the conan universe, seems fun but not out yet.

Just bought h1z1 King of the kill not sure what to think, played a few hours and keep getting destroyed, even with a friend

The forest is absolutely amazing, had the game since it pretty much first came out, an absolute gem and the developers care about their game too

Rust- i give that a go but like you said solo rust isn't happening anytime soon

Miscreated- Seen JackFrags give it go a while back and looks alright, might invest if i few friends do

ARK: something that looks good but i don't have a system able to run it at decent frames on decent setting xD

Its really a gem. But you have to enjoy the environment of a game more than the game-play to really like it. Don't get me wrong, the gun play is good, the looting is pretty fun compared to other games and hunger is actually an issue. But the lighting and weather is really the part that makes the game feel unique.

That's good, i'm all about immersion and the game making you feel like you're actually there, it makes me care more about my actions, what i do and how i approach situations, for example ARMA, when i play ARMA i care if i live or die in the game, i carefully plan my movements and my attacks making sure i don't give my opponent any cheap shots, having a game that brings immersion makes it so much more real, and having weather effects is big plus, knowing when it's foggy it's harder for snipers to see you so that's a good time to go looting, stuff like that make the game so much better, i'll check it out, Thanks

Minecraft

Jokes aside, I've played lots of Ark, and if you can stand 40 FPS gameplay (fine imo) it's a really great game. Avoid the big PVP servers though, people are jerks there. Also, the game is really hard in the beginning.

You also have Osiris: New Dawn, which I haven't played myself, but it will probably be the next survival game I completely dive into.

Then you have Space Engineers (as well as the sister game Medieval Engineers), which is more about building, but it's still pretty survivalish.

Then you have Terraria, which is also available on the phone, which makes it even better as it more feels like playing good ol gameboy.

Then a friend of mine plays a lot of Factorio, and my brother keeps talking about the game The Lone Dark.

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU
