So the controller i bought to use with pc has stopped working and i can't figure out why, i have the usb dongle and it is an xbox one controller but i will not work and there seems to be no drivers for it besides some useless .cab files that i can find. Why is this happening, why can things never work properly

Are you using it wired, or wirelessly?

I also have a wireless XBox One controller to play Rocket League on PC and it works fine... Guess yours is broken beyond repair ;).

it's.....like barely used new. it's just a driver issue i have no idea how to fix

Batteries died in the controller?Did you try to resync the controller to the dongle?

For some reason the fact that the driver is not there does not allow it to power on so i can't sync it. Shows up in device manage as some unknown xbox device or something like that. I plugged it into another computer and can sync it but not in my main pc as the drivers seem to be gone.

Does it actually work at all tho

It did before and does on other windows 10 computers. It has maybe 3 hours of use on it. The controller and dingle are far from warn. They just appear to the pc as unknown device.
