I've had this problem for 2 years now, maybe longer. When I use google search, sometimes it shows up as "connection not secure."

This problem has been happening on all devices that use google chrome only. I checked the certificate and it does not go to google, the site changes randomly. I do not know what is going on since it only happens on the google chrome browser. I have tested this with firefox browser by going on google and searching stuff up. I did not get a certificate error there and it says the https is secured. I wish to bypass this error on google chrome but unfortunately I cannot. Any help is appreciated!

You probably have a redirect installed in chrome and because of google sync it just goes to all other devices. These things happen when you visit porn sites. You can try resetting chrome, this can be found at the bottom of your chrome browser's settings page.

I just hit reset, haven't tried that yet hopefully it helps. I also wonder how this redirect thing works and how to prevent it in the future? It seems not just my accounts but people who use my network also get the connection is not private sometimes when they use google on google chrome.

When you hit reset you need to restart chrome for the changes to take affect.

Without a proper audit i won't be able to say for sure but there are different ways this nuisance can be affecting you, through the browser itself or in your internet connection settings in windows, then some routers can be affected too and as you now said that other people are being affected from this nuisance on your network i think it could be on the router's settings.

Prevention for this depends on finding out where the access is being done, e.g. if say it is on a browser then you should just stop going to the site that causes it or if you have to get your "fix" then browse incognito or use a different browser and then clear the history completely after use. A proper networking firewall, one that can track and block MAC?IP addresses automatically, is one of the best tools to help. You can also find the site that does it and just blacklist it in a chrome extension called https everywhere, keep in mind if you blacklist it it just won't load. Do a malware/virus scan too.
