Alright so I just saw a post mentioning this and I feel like I should ask this question to you guys. What if you put your PC in a industrial fridge/freezer? Since they have much larger coolers. (Im talking walk-in here). If you think it would be possible or something I can either make a post on here or a video with my findings. or if you just want it done lol

They do may make continuous run refrigerators that can go to -25C but of course it will still have issues with condensation and such.

There was a video of this, but with a regular fridge.

Okay, so the main problem is moisture. Condensation and shit -- there's a good chance your PC fries.

But in a drier environment, what do you think those data centers up in the arctic circle do?

IDK its up in the mountains of Colorado and its pretty dry.

How would I keep condensation away?

I guess the simplest would be to apply a conformal coating to the board and di-dieletric gel to connectors but it may still frost up on top of the coating.

It might be a long shot but if it was immersed inside of a mineral bath and then cooled just from the surface area of the tank that might work since it would keep the moisture away and only on the outsides of the tank.

Id be more concerned with the fact that fridges arent designed to live with a continuous thermal load.

It would just be to replicate the tests linus did. And im not sure if you have seen some of the coolers on walk in freezers but they are the size of mini fridges or larger usually

In the test Linus did it was with a low power machine, in that case it will work if the cooling device is big enough.

I had assumed (incorrectly judging from your comment) that you were thinking of trying this with your spare fridge and a gaming machine.
