I5 6600k Temps

SPECS:

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming Edition

CPU: Intel i5 6600k clocked at 4.2

RAM: 16 GB 2400 Ballistix

STORAGE: 2TB HDD

MOBO: ASUS Z170-A

 

When at heavy load playing cpu intensive and open world games, it it okay if my pc CPU core temps are at about 60-69 °C. When not doing anything crazy i get about 25-39 depending on what im doing in cpu temps. Is this safe?

Those idle temps are a bit concerning since I live on the desert with an itx build and my idle temps are typically in the mid to high 20's with a cheap tower cooler clocked at 4.4Ghz. That said, it's load that matters and being under 70c is good.

the real question, how high can overclock it successfully. 4.4? or can i push it to 4.6?
