What is the smallest Case with... ?

Hey guys, I'm looking for the smallest case that can fit these parts...

 

Asus Z97-AR Motherboard (ATX)

240 Samsung SSD Boot Drive

Seagate 1TB 7200rpm Sata Drive

16GB 1600Mhz Corsiar DDR3 Ram 4x4GB Sticks

Intel i7-4790k @ 4.7GHz

ASUS GTX 970 Strix 4GB Graphics Card

 

Currently have a Corsair 230T and a NZXT s340, but they are relatively close to the same size, and just aren't small enough for me.

 

Anything smaller than those 2 cases that can be recommended will be great, the smaller the better.

 

Finding an ITX or mATX z97 board at a reasonable price these days is pretty tough, so I'm just wanting to know my options.

Cooler Master does a really small ATX case, but it's pretty shit (Elite 361)

 

You could buy a MicroATX mini tower and mod it (put the PSU elsewhere etc)

If you want small and ATX, look for HTPC cases. I'll post a couple of my favorites in a minute when I find a link and the names of them.

I'm really a fan of the 605, problem is I'm not sure it will fit your GPU height wise, I'm going to look into that.

Ok the node 605 won't fit your GPU. It MIGHT make it barely height wise, and I'm basing that on the 5.5" listed hieght for your GPU  and 140mm cpu clearnece of this case listed here. IF it fits, it would be tight.

(eyeballing my strix 1080 it doens't look like it would fit in this case)

The other case I posted says it's max height for expansions cards is 5.25", so that won't work either despite being within length restrictions. I think even for non-HTPC form factors, this tall gpu will be your limiting factor.

Nice case! Never seen that one before, needs an SFX PSU, so it wont work.

 

Not your fault though, I didn't put my PSU in my list of parts.

Still looking up videos on the 605 to see how people build in it. Thanks for looking up clearances, hopefully I find more insight with the videos I'm watching.

 

Don't think I'm interested in the Silverstone, seems they wasted space by putting in a 5.25" drive bay.

Yah problem is once they make in mind to be small, they assume you'll buy a reference card or equivalent in height. 

So far I've found this ugly thing. Pretty small, but it won't fit your gpu. The layout was ALMOST right. If the psu was on top it'd work.

This is a bad example, but it's a common layout. Any smaller than this requires a unique psu placement

so the core G3 is 69$ on amazon, an sfx psu that will work would be 60, so for a total of 130$ you have a great solution. Not a cheap solution, but cheaper than some cases.

I agree, that's cheaper than buying a new Motherboard and Case.

 

I was even thinking about giving up the overclock ability of my CPU just to go smaller. Getting a H97 board, but like I said, checking my options before going any other way.
