Hi Everyone,

I just recently installed a GTX 1080 Strix in my Dell XPS 8900, and it worked fine until it proceeded to tell me to update the drivers. As soon as I did that, it showed a Black Screen with a cursor. I can use my computer through Intel Graphics, but when plugged into my 1080, I just get a black screen. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Uninstall the NVIDIA drivers and get GeForce Experience

That's the problem with pre-builts. A lot of them will block upgrades.

Use DDU, heres the link to download. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

After you down load it, run it and select boot in safe mode.

Then chose the option to remove all drivers and turn off.

Once the PC is off, plug back into the graphics card.

Start the PC and install the drivers.

ONLY install the drivers, PhysX, Audio using the custom install option. DO NOT INSTALL THE GEFORCE EXPERIENCE.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

No, I have upgraded the PSU to an EVGA 750 GQ, so power isn't an issue.

@App4that What do you mean by plug back into the graphics card?
