I saw that... didn't realize it could be used for pc. Cool, I will look into that one for sure.

If you get it, pick up the shifter as well. (So that it can be more realistic)

I am looking into getting a wheel and pedal system that I can hook up to my computer and play racing games. Any recommendations for a good racing wheel that is fairly cheap (under $1000 maybe even under $500 if possible)?

I use a G27

It is 99% the same as the G29, but comes with the gear shifter. Slightly less good materials, but you won't notice.

I enjoy it, but it doesn't have the same feel as a real car

What do you mean slightly less good materials on the G27?

A relative of mine has the G27 and I like it very much. I don't really care about getting the perfect feel. If I get one I just want it to be good.

Fanatec offers very nice, high quality wheels. Their pedals are expensive and not everyone has the best of luck with them, but they look quite nice to me and have a loadcell brake. You could go with Thrustmaster as well, you'd likely get the new TS-PC and some T500 pedals if you went that route. If you wanted a loadcell you could get something from Ricmotech.

Do you have experience with sim racing or a wheel? If you're at that budget and know, 100% that you'll be racing, make sure you get a belt-driven or direct drive wheel! Gear driven wheels are not as smooth and you won't enjoy them as much.

Information overload.... restarting...

I have next to no experience with racing wheels or any of that stuff. I just played around with the one that my relative has and thought it would be cool if I got one. That being said I will look into your suggestions.

I love my Fanatec setup.  The Logitech G29 is a good pick too but the wheel is significantly smaller and feels more "toy like" in it's construction.  Good deals on second hand fanatec setups hit the bay every so often.  Search the bay for "Fanatec GT3", "Fanatec GT2", "Fanatec Clubsport"

System: i5 6600K@3.6 GHz, Gigabyte Z170XP SLI, 2x8 Corsair DDR 3000, Corsair Hydro H60i cooler, Rosewill CAPSTONE 750w Gold PSU, 1x 512GB SSD, 1x 2TB 7200RPM, Windows 10 Pro x64
Display: XFX R9 390 DD, triple 1920x1200 24" HP monitors (5760x1200 @ 60Hz)   Sound: Audio-gd NFB-11 -> AKG K7XX or 2.1 speaker system
