I recently purchased and built my very first computer. I got the part list from a builder who made his friend the almost exact pc, the only problem is that his benchmarks don't compare to mine. He states that it can handle any openworld game at 60+,e.g.,GTA 5 60fps, Shadow of Mordor 90+ on Ultra. I recently purchased GTA 5 to see if they did match up but didn't, I get drops to 40 on any setting, whether it be on normal graphic setting to ultra. I also get the same drops on Payday 2. Also in League of Legends after a while of playing my fps drops from 120 to 90 and looks as if its at 30fps. Any help would be appreciated.

Some people say on a low score like that

"

Ahh I think the problem was that I had altered a bunch of settings in the nvidia control panel, to give better quality... I reset all those and got 1600 to 1700 :D that probably was the problem

But just wondering, did you leave your control panel setting stock when you did your benchmark?

@Vareliux i'd recommend you go to Nvidias website download the newest driver, after download DDU, and remove your current, reboot and install the newly downloaded. Also make sure you have the right drivers for your motherboard. Also what Windows and build you Running26. Presse Windows button + R and type Winver

@GGWP1337 Yes, I've read it might be due to the vrm overheating and throttling my cpu, but it's usually with cpu that are OC, yet mines at stock speeds. If it is the vrm, then I'll buy the ASRock 970A G/3.1 which has an 8+2 power phase which will be enough to power my 8core cpu and give me enough headroom to OC.
