So basically I took an old 320GB from an old netbook that no one was using. I decided it's time for my annual fresh install of Windows, and so I need to move important stuff onto wherever it needs to go.I am at the moment using a 160GB 2.5", 7200RPM, very slow drive as my boot drive. I have a 500GB Seagate that, while more noisy, is significantly faster and I'd rather use it as the boot drive. I also have the recently aquired 320GB HDD. My plan at the moment is to take all important data (about 10GB) off of the other drives and but them on the 160GB, then split the 500GB HDD into a 250GB boot partition and another 250GB partition which I will use in conjunction with the 320GB HDD to keep my games on. Any recommendations? Honestly I'd buy an SSD if I could but I'm broke as shit.

Check the SMART data on all the drives, and exclude any that don't seem particularly healthy. What are you left with?

Sig under construction.

They look fine but I'm a bit concerned with the 500GB because it's had a total of 25k hours online.
