ETS2MP-EXE Startup

Hey guys

I've got a slight problem with a Steam game, Euro Truck Sim 2's MULTIPLAYER which I assume you know of.

So, I've downloaded the latest version multiple times, I'm signed into Steam and for some reason, I try to launch the TruckersMP-exe and it just decides to not respond and show a popup saying "TruckersMP has stopped working".

I've tried compatibility mode, I've tried running as an administrator and those options aren't working either

 

The latest version is correct, I didn't receive any installation-errors and the problem still continues to exist.

 

Any ideas?

This kind of problem you've described is usually caused by the game's lack of compatibility with something you have, usually this can be an OS or software.

OS is Windows 8, has worked on previous updates but I stopped playing for about a month.

Cannot find the issue still

Have you asked the devs of the game? Do they have some kind of support ticket system? (I know they may not help you anyways but t's worth a try)

Waiting on a reply, been a few hours but no luck so far.

No idea what the cause is, literally nothing works.

 

Tried reinstalling, restarting and god knows what else  I'm absolutely clueless at this point, just shows with that popup every time without fail

don't worry. It's a problem with the program and not your computer.

 

I've seen some behavior like this before but not recently.

I hope so

It's only ETS2 that's been doing it, all other games for fine, strange stuff 

 

I bet knowing my luck, if I were to even reinstall Windows, login into Steam, download the game and then download the MP 'Addon' again, I bet it would still give the same error  My luck is the worst atm.
