Blue snowball ice

I have the blue snowball ice sitting about a foot and a half away from me and when I speak into it, people cannot hear me on rainbow six siege. My settings are the record volume at max and the threshold on max within the game. I'm not sure if I'm doing this wrong or not but do I need to configure this microphone because it is further away? Or is this nothing more than an issue that can only be solved my decreasing distance? Because I'd rather not get the thing close to my face.

Does the microphone work on any other software such as skype, discord, audacity, etc..? If so, you likely just have the wrong input device selected in rainbow six siege.

I'd imagine setting the threshold at max would mean the microphone would never work unless you screamed REALLY REALLY loud.

 

Try reducing the threshold volume.

They can hear me apparently, but it is too quiet.

Never thought of it that way, I'll give it a shot
