I have made 3+ posts trying to fix my hard drive and ssd and it still continues. I have the ssd for the os and a couple drivers, that it. Everything else will be downloaded on my hard drive. I have gone to Settings-System-Storage and set all the defaults to my hard drive (D), yet still when I install things it goes on the ssd. I just installed Skype and checked, and sure enough the files are on the ssd. This is really getting annoying and it seemingly wont be fixed, please help

The installers are set to install to the C drive.

Can I change that?

If the installer doesn't let you, then no I don't think so.

Can I somehow swap the roles of the hard drive and ssd, while still making my pc boot off the ssd?

You can try changing the letters of the drives.

Changing drive letter wont help and DO NOT DO IT, it will mess up the registry, a lot of it points to the c: drive for files.

Only thing you can do is make sure you look to see if you can change the install path, may need to click custom. Other than that, not much you can do really, I used to have a 60GB SSD for boot and it was painful making sure stuff installs to the HDD.

I use this program to find out whats taking up the space, then see if I can move it or not. Make sure you clear your temp files and recycling bin now and again.
