Yes it's possible, don't know why you would crossfire a low-mid tier card anyhow.

It would work, not that you should do (If buying them that is). 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

well if the second card was dirt cheap or free I totally would.

Yeah only if that happens though, otherwise he better sell that R9 270X and get a better single card.
