Hi all,

I've been trying to use OBS to record videos and recently when playing games and recording, I find that the preview and output looks like it's dropping frames and lagging.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I've been recording 1080p60 at 5Mbit since 7Mbit or 10mbit causes lag.  The codec I use is the same that shadowplay uses which is NVENC h.264 ,

Even when I try to downscale the resolution I still have issues.

Preview or output? Preview doesn't matter.

Output looks fine.. Preview doesn't. Oh ok.

So long as the bitrate is less than 12Mbit the framerate is fine. Cos otherwise the framerate drops to around 40-50fps for the recording.
