Can not locate HTC Vive USB drivers

So turns out I do not have the USB drivers and I cant find anywhere were to download them.  IDK why this is the problem because I played in the vive before it stopped working.  I like the system report for the vive below if it will help and I have a Z170-A mother board and a ASUS gtx-960 turbo white and as i5-6500k at 3.5 ghz with a kraken 61x idk if those specks are bottlenecking the drivers but what ever helps right please help because if I cant find a solution im on the verge of sending it back

I don't exactly know when I  go into the system diagnostics for the HTC vive it says there are no USB Drivers. I have plugged my mouse and keyboard into the same USB ports and they worked so idk

You need to download the Vive setup utility and the Asus (since you haven't posted your system specs, I'm assuming Asus) USB drivers for your motherboard.

when I try to download for asus a window pops up and ask if I would like it to make changes to my computer I click yes and then the window goes away and nothing happens

 

When I do the vive setup something really weird happens so I already have all the vive software downloaded so there should be 0 mb missing right but when I open tit to download it it says there are 7mb missing and it proceeds to download this but then that docent change any thing so I try top do it again and it says again 7mb missing

 

IDK what's going on any more its like my computer is losing files and windows

so I don't have any anti virus unless something is stock with windows ten and I did the command prompt thingy and when I tried to download the drivers from ASUS the window pops up and ask me for permission to change my computer I hit yes and then it disappears so nothing changed.

 

But do I need to shut off the windows defender software if so how

Did you upgrade to Windows 10 or is it a clean install?

Also, I looked at your TXT file and it seems that the lighthouses (sensors) aren't being detected. Are they connected to power?

yes is that mabey a error with the link box

however I tried pluging the head set directly into the pc and it wont recognize the HDMI or the USB

Are you plugging the HDMI into the GPU?

yea so when I wouldn't work plugged directly I nto the GPU I thought it is the head sets problem would that make since

as far as I know I haven't had any problems with it up to this point when I originally got it I ordered it on a USB stick and popped that into my computer and downloaded it on to a SSD and I haven't had any problems with any thing till now

I would start by verifying the files for SteamVR. Check the link box to ensure that everything is connected as it should be.

the first time I hit problem in the setup is when I get to stem 2.2 (connecting the head set to the lik box) and it wont recognize the HDMI and USB plugged in I have tried different HDMI and USB cords but no luck
