 my Vive setup wont recognize that the HDMI and USB are plugged into the link box

not many people have an htc vive 

have you installed any drivers for it

Is it plugged into USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.2 or higher? Also what CPU do you have?

Have you tried plugging it into a USB 2.0 port? I plugged mine into a 3.0 port once and it didn't (fully) work, but 2.0 consistently works for me.

What graphics card do you have and do you have multiple monitors plugged in?

Whenever I use my vive I have to unplug all but 1 monitor.

Try different usb ports. If still not working, unplug everything, replug it, and restart your pc. Idk why but mine sometimes doesn't get detected and unplugging and replugging seems to work. I think its a glitch in steamvr.
