USB power?

So I was wondering if I could set my USB ports on my PC to turn on when my PC wakes up from sleep because the lights on my water dancing speakers are always on and it's annoying at night.

In your bios there should be an option for "always on USB" or something along the lines of that, turn that off and you are golden!

 

These might be other things you are looking for:

-> Wake from USB (disable) <- in the bios that is

-> Always charge (something along the lines of that) disable

-> Always on USB <- Disable

-> Charging USB <- disable

Will that turn it off when I put it into sleep or just when I shut it down. Also you probably don't know this but whenever I plug the speaker's into my PC there is static sound slightly but only my PC not with any other devices.

Go to the "power options" and there should be a USB suspend option. Try it.

 

Edit: After you go to power options, click "change plan settings" and then click on advanced power options.

If nothing else works, look for a usb pci(e) card, those might have different behavior to the main system ports

 

Or try a usb to ps/2 if the usb port is only being used as a power source
