If you click it, and click it again?

Also does it ask for the AUC things like it did for me? (the window where you have to give permission)

I've tried and tried. It does give me the permissions screen though.

Finally got the solution

So what you want to do is:

PLEASE be sure not to delete other keys (as it can severely screw up your machine)

Step by step

1. Open regedit

-> You can do this by pressing(and holding) the windows key and the R key at the same time:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.PNG

Now open Regedit by typing regedit in there and pressing enter, confirm you want to give the executable persmission.

2. Navigate to the path of the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Image File Execution Options/

-> to get here easier, you can close all the options, then click open the following folders in this order:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft

Windows NT

CurrentVersion

Image Files Execution Options

Once you are there, there will be a folder in there called taskmgr.exe

3. Delete taskmgr.exe

this will remove the override and will put the normal task manager back:

Sorry, I didn't really understand the problem in the beginning, but this should solve 100% of it!
