You havent tried different drivers so try previous versions.
Swap cables around (different monitors to different slots).
Unplug other 2 screens and see if 4K monitors still flickers with the mentioned applications.

Unplugging the 1080p screen helped. Unplugging the 900p display resulted in 4k screen getting disabled and only 1080p screen working.

Swapping cables didn't work. (switched hdmi's, used dp -> hdmi adapter on 1080p, used dp -> hdmi -> dvi adapters on 900p)

Older drivers didn't work (tried every major release)

Apparently enabling hdr on the 4k screen fixed the issue. (from the display's own settings, not in windows) Seems like the gpu was trying to push hdr when the screen was in normal mode...

But it works now, with hdr!

I just upgraded my gpu to a Asus 1060 Dual OC 6gb, it is much faster and quieter than my previous gpu. It has one issue though. Some applications flicker constantly. I have this problem with msi afterburner, evga precision xoc, gta v, notepad and a few others. Everything else so far has no issues. I have the latest nvidia drivers (376.33).

My primary screen is 4k (hdmi), second is 1080p (hdmi) and third is 900p (dvi). Flickering only occurs on the 4k screen, if i move the windows so it is partially on the 1080p screen, the flicker goes away. In gta, afterburner reports 25 fps constant and the screen flickers once every second. (24 frames game, 1 frame black screen) Main screen is set to 60hz at 3840 x 2160.

I have also tried ets2 and beamng, both run happily at 4k 60 with no flickering.

Furmark also runs without flickering/crashing/other bad things.

I have already tried:

wiping the drivers with ddu and reinstalling (wiped amd and nvidia drivers, just in case)

turning it on and off again multiple times

changing screen refresh rate

set scaling to 100%

Windows scaling is set to 150% and im using windows 7. I will not "upgrade" to 10, maybe 8.1 if i really have to.
