Which Case Fan?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Hey,

So I am wondering if I should get 2 of Corsairs new ML fans, or 4 of their AF120 fans. I've heard their ML fans are quieter and run faster, while the AF120 fans are slightly inferior and louder. Which would provide better cooling?

Personally never tried any of those

4x AF120's would provide more cooling.

Why only look at Corsair fans?

What are your specs? Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

I was just looking at corsair fans because they seem the most reliable, but I'm open to other brands.

My specs:

CPU: i5 6600k

GPU: ASUS Strix RX 470 Overclocked

RAM: 8 GB of DDR4

MOTHERBOARD: Z170-E

PSU: CS550M

COOLING: 1 Exhaust fan that came with the case, and a Hyper 212 Evo

I'm shopping on newegg.ca and I don't want to spend more then $60 - $70 on fans

What case do you have?

Are you limited to newegg or are you open to other Canadian shops?

Those magnetic fans are pretty expensive

Are you having any issues with the included stock fan or are you planning to keep using it?

No, I'm not having any issues with it, but I plan to swap it out with the new fan.

Why swap it out if you don't have any issues with it?

Good point... Maybe all I need is an intake then.
