Servus,

So, my brother has a gtx760 windforce with the 331.58 drivers. After playing Batman Arkham Origins, these weird artifacts appeared.

sVeqA9m.jpg

After that he updated the driver to 331.65 which didnt make a difference. Only uninstalling the driver caused the artifacts to disappear.

Other components of the build are:

i7 4770k @stock

gigabyte Z87-D3HP

avexir 2400mhz memory

Corsair CX500

Seagate SSHD 1TB

What could be the problem? Since there is no problem without drivers the card itself should be good.

Thanks for the help,

greetings from germany ;)

This could be a thermal issue.

Do you monitor the temps somehow?

Try speccy -http://www.piriform.com/speccy

Does Furmark do the same?

What is the make and model of your PSU?

i dont think its a thermal issue since it just appeared after batman and not before (e.g. he was playing batman yesterday aswell)

Not sure about furmark since the artifacts are already there and not going away unless you uninstall the drivers.

PSU is the Corsair CX500M.

All parts are very new, i built the computer last weekend.

Have you tried rolling back the drivers?  Do you have a high overclock on it?  Have you switched PCI slots?

Bad VRAM can cause it.

The uninstalling of the driver forces the card to display picture via a 'Standard VGA Adapter' - a smaller version of the GPU, basically. I have found in the past that installing the drivers creates the issues and removing them clears the artifacts. You obviously can't use the standard adapter for anything needing the slightest bit of juice (not even Aero), so you either need to remove the GPU entirely from the system and run off the Intel HD 4600 or replace the card with another to check for MB faults.

Also try booting into Safe Mode and uninstall all drivers and anything relating to NVIDIA from there, then install the fresh up-to-date drivers via a clean install (rather than 'upgrading').

If this all fails then I'd say you have a bad GPU and it needs to go.
