How can I run three monitors, two off gpu and one off motherboard?

iCantThinkOfAName

Hello, I'm trying to plug in a monitor into my motherboard whilst my main two are in the gpu, however when I plug my monitor into the motherboard, it doesn't show anything. Is there a setting in the bios? A driver?

Thanks.

Yes. There should be a settings where you can choose multi monitor from both pcie and igpu

Pretty sure you just plug it in. I remember my friend did this exact thing, but somehow the PCIE GPU was rendering for all three displays despite one of them being plugged into the iGPU.

There should be a setting in your UEFI to toggle multi monitor via iGPU once that is enabled, make sure you have your iGPU driver installed and up to date.

I can't see it, do you know where about in the BIOS it will be for an ASUS motherboard?

That's normal. The discrete GPU will render all video output and just sends the specific ones for the third display via PCIe to the iGPU to send it to the monitor.

WHICH asus mobo? A small subset of motherboards do not support using iGPU and dGPU simultaneously.

When in doubt, re-format.

Unfortunately I'm not at home ATM but I can check once I get there. In the meantime watch this:

and this:

pretty sure Linus uses that setting in one of those videos so he can access the unraid console while the VM is running. Sry I cant tell you any further details right now.

Try this. The Gamer BIOS looks similar

Advanced > System Agent Configuration > Graphics Configuration >  iGPU Multi Monitor
