Buffer space on ssd

So I have recently gotten a 500gb ssd and I also have a tb hdd. When I was reinstalling my games i was being a sissy and putting almost every game on my hdd trying to keep my ssd above 350gb free space. So basically I'm not even using the ssd for what I bought it for :D. How much a "buffet" of free space should I leave on my ssd?
