I have bought freesync monitor LG 27MP68HM (range 40-75Hz). Few things I would like to ask:

- Is it bad for monitor durability if freesync is always on? I have turned it on in Crimson drivers and monitor. With that I have in windows monitor refresh rate 75Hz.

- In Metro Last light redux if I turn vsync on, it locked me to 60Hz. Shouldn`t it be 75Hz?

- Monitor is connected with HDMI 1.4 cable. HDMI 2.0 cable is required only for 4K?

1. No its not bad, doesn't really matter, it's suppose to be always on.

2. probably how the game was made, lots of games do this and assume the refreshrate is 60Hz rather then actually check what the rate is.... stupid i know. But just to be sure, check if the monitor is actually running @ 75Hz and not 60Hz. Might be able to see it in the monitor OSD or just check it in the OS settings.

3. HDMI 1.4 can do 4k as well, just @ 30Hz max. But yeah for the normal usuable 4K you need HDMI 2.0. For the 1080p you have, 1.4 is just fine.

Freesync is enabled in monitor and crimson driver. OS setting are set to 75Hz. I tried COD: Modern warfare and there in video option I set refresh rate to 75Hz, in game it is now locked to 75fps. With that I think Metro 2033: LL redux is only possible to lock to 60Hz and that freesync is correctly working.

One more thing: in monitor settings response time is set default to middle, not to high. Should I change it? o.O

Would like to know so post it if you find out what exactly it does :P. Maybe someone else on the forum can help out on that one?
