Iphone Verification failed\error

have a friend who is trying to DC their "find my iphone" on thier i6s and it keeps coming up with this. i haven't had a chance to have a gander myself, but has anyone had any experience fixing this issue, to me it seems like it is a connection problem. but i only know a little about the issue and the main points are, find my iphone not disconnection like it should, even thou it apparently is DCed from the icloud.

 

little help could go a long way fella's.
