$1235 gaming laptop suggestions

Smurfyevs

At the moment i have a 3 year old asus laptop and i am looking to upgrade. my current laptop has an Intel Core i5 - 3337U, 1.8GHz, 8GB ram, 1TB hard drive. i am looking for something quite a lot quicker than this that will mainly be used for gaming but also will be used for school work. it needs to be "futureproof" as I will have more technology - based work coming. Photoshop, programming and big projects. I would prefer to have a GPU and i'm not worried by battery life.  I am from the UK so prices may vary.

Thanks

Don't listen to that other guy, that laptop has heat problems.

You cannot futureproof tech. Get a rebranded clevo, they have some of the best cooling on the marked if not the best cooling, and you can basically customize the laptop specs to fit your needs.

There is pretty no reason ever to get any Asus laptop at the moment. The GL502 1060 is incomparable to P650RP6. And the GL502 1070 is a overheating mess.

It is not where near the best in the market, and there are plenty of laptops with a lot less shortcomings.

is better in just about every way. Better performance, better support, better thermals, better battery life, has a MUX switch.
