This isn't even a question. You don't have the option to use the V.

The V has the LGA 1155 socket, for Intel's Ivy Bridge. The VI is the one you want, with the LGA 1150 socket for Haswell.

Ok, im gonna build a gaming PC soon and I need to know what motherboard is better.

I will use an intel i5 4670k, nvidia geforce gtx 770 palit jetstream and kingston hyperX beast edition 16gb 2400mhz ram.

should i use an asus maximus V gene or a maximus VI gene.

Thanks

why would you use 2400 mhz ram? It's useless.

My Pc: Cpu: I7 4790k @ 4,8 Ghz @1,25 volts, Motherboard: Maximus VII Formula, Graphicscard: 2x Titan X @1,4 at stock voltage (soon to be replaced), Ram: 32 gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 Cl 9, SSD: 2x 850 Pro 1 Tb in Raid 0, 2x Samsung 840 Evo 1 tb raid 1,, PSU: Corsair HXi Series 1000W 80+ Platinum, Case: H440. Soon to be watercooled again, maybe, probably, the Titans are too loud.

You don't need 16GB off RAM for a gaming computer. I suggest to go with 2x4GB sticks now and then you have the option to later add 2 more sticks IF it is needed. Wich I will say, no it won't. Especially not those speeds. Go with 1600 or 1866 if you really think it will mather. You can OC your ram aswell if you really want to do that. But this limits the OC on your CPU. Just something to add into it.

As stated above aswell. You need the Maximus VI Gene because this one support haswell chips. Wich the i5 4670K is. And then for the GPU, You could maybe consider to get an EVGA or Asus one by the money you can save with getting 8GB instead off 16.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua

It sounds like you are a little confused about what makes a good gaming cpu. Spend less on the mobo/ram.
