Been looking for a basic laptop for a while, preferably i3 or i5 CPU. Just want to have something to take with me on trips and to friends places ect.

Wanted to get something small 12-14". Nothing with dedicated GPU just iGPU from CPU I guess for very very light games.

Battery life would be most important too I guess.

Im terrible at finding more budget oriented systems and usually only seem to find laptops which i love but are too pricy haha.

Im in Australia also.

Any suggestions for laptops I should be looking at? Or ones you have bought for similar reasons.

- Lenovo X230/40/50/60 (not 20 or 201 as they're old) - 12.5" ULP CPU, has eGPU support, nice machine overall

- HP EliteBook Folio - 14" ultrabook. Older machine, but still really nice.

- HP EliteBook 2570p - I'm a little biased as I own one, but it's a really nice little machine. 12.5", with quad-core upgrade available

- Dell E6430 - 14" business machine with dedicated GPU option and quad core option. Unlockable turbo bins on the quad-core units allow up to 68w of CPU power at once when turbo boosting, and you can have up to 3 batteries in the machine at once for 32h (!) of battery life. eGPU can be done also.

- Dell E6440 - See above, but Haswell architecure instead of Ivy Bridge

Pretty much all the machines above are really cheap (<$700)

idk
