Hello LTT community,

As sort of a fun project or idea, could I use a Raspberry Pi as sort of a power switch pass through with a delay timer.  The reason for this would be to allow for a phase change cooling unit to warm up and start before turning a PC on.  I already know how to use an RPi as an HVAC system controller with an info display output, so my question would be as how to program or setup the GPIO hardware in order to pass through a power on/off signal, with a ~ 4 minute delay on the startup of the PC.

I know this isn't really a practical (or cheap) solution, so DO NOT start ranting about it before considering it's just a fun idea.  And, yes, I do know how to design and build the mechanical aspects of a phase change cooling system, because I'm into mechanical engineering.  (The idea is kind of like trying to build an LD PC-V2 for cheaper, so yeah.)

Thanks,

DAGGER51
