Overclock Guide for GTX 1050ti Mini (Zotac International)

ZXL_115

I want to OC my 1050ti (Its not the oc edition of the 1050ti). problem is, i cant get it to oc high enough, im wanting a 10-15 frame increase, but i cant get it to go that high. I can only get it to do 6-7 more frames (in furmark). Any ideas how to oc better? Or is it because theres no headroom because it only goes off the motherboard pci 16x power? As well, when i get it over 6-7 fps, its barely stable.

Edit: forgot to include that the card artifacts and the graphics drivers cut out when i oc too high.

Usually cars with an external power connector can be OC'ed more. If your card does have a 6 pin, I recommend using it. If it does not have any external power, you have probably reached the limit. Overclocking does not usually yield 10-15 fps anyway.

My legit rig:

CPU: i5 6600k GPU: Asus Strix 1070 RAM: 16 GB of Corsair LPX CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 Motherboard:  Asus Z170I Pro Gaming Storage: Adata Sp550 120 GB and WD Black 3 TB Case: NZXT Manta Power Supply: EVGA 550 GS Monitors: 2 LG 25UM58-P Ultrawides Keyboard: Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid-i Mouse: Logitech G502 RGB

My psu is 600 watts and it has the connectors (unfortunately my card does not)

That is unfortunate. In the future, if you are really into overclocking, I would pick up a card with external power connections. From my understanding maxwell based GPUs give better overclocked performance than their Pascal counterparts, even though maxwell speeds are significantly lower than Pascal.
